Twelve miles of walking around the island today taking in some amazing scenery & very mixed weather. Before we started we had an Arctic Skua & Spoonbill from the window of the house.
We called past Harrys Wall where a Short-eared Owl was roosting on the edge of cover allowing indifferent viewing opportunities whilst a Dusky Warbler gave equally frustrating views in the boat yard. Yellow-browed Warbler sightings were sporadic throughout the week.
Two Sanderlings were with the Turnstones at Porthmellon, always great birds to watch. There were decent numbers of Song Thrush, Chiffchaff, Goldcrest and a few Blackcaps along our route and we also added a few late Swallows, Sparrowhawk & Peregrine. Lots of hard yards put in today without any big results.
