Hybrid Canada Goose x Barnacle Goose

My weekend of birding at Salford Priors started on Friday evening when Paul and I did a comprehensive search of the east bunds following Chris Lane having flushed a Short-eared Owl on Thursday afternoon. Sadly we couldn't repeat Chris's luck. Our small Starling flock has increased to around 200 birds, not quite to Ham Wall standards.
I visited the site on Saturday morning & Sunday afternoon but sightings were in truth very average. My best find was a male Peregrine that was playing havoc with 11 Snipe around the site. After a couple of quiet weeks the Coot numbers are edging upwards again.
The only other bird of note was a hybrid Canada x Barnacle Goose that was on the main pit on Sunday.
