Jon & Chris march ahead

A fairly quiet weekend at the pits with reported sighting limited to my own visit with Jon & Chris Lane on Sunday morning. Drizzle persisted during the morning whilst it was very soft under foot making it very tricky in places.

202 Greylag & 175 Canada Geese were feeding in the plantation field which were our biggest count of the winter. Other sightings included a Jack Snipe, 21 Snipe, four Green Sandpiper, eight Shoveler, three Pochard, 128 Teal, 60 Tufted, 5 Grey Heron, Sparrowhawk and 11 Mute Swans.
