Our final morning was spent at Holkham yet again on a Radde’s steak out. Once again the Radde’s won hands down as we never got a fleeting moment of the bird in 4 hours. To make matters worse the bird was reported whilst we were there however as far as we could tell looking down the patch no one saw the bird until much later in the day after we had departed.

Whilst the session was hard work we did spent a few hours with our new birding friend Ben & VERY patient girlfriend who were equally shocked that my Warwickshire birding buddy had never heard of Nicole Scherzinger (we had ran out of birding talk) and did ask him “how old you ?” causing another comedy moment on the paths of Holkham.

115 was final trip tally as we added Golden Plover on the way to Holkham. If there is every another bird at Holkham……..I’m not going.
